InterceptOS — IT allowlist request

Hand this page to your department's IT or network administrator. InterceptOS is a browser-based pursuit coordination tool used by sworn personnel and dispatch. If it is blocked on agency computers, the items below are what must be permitted.

1. Category classification

Classify interceptos.live as a public safety / business application. Web filters commonly place new or uncategorized domains in a default-deny bucket; a category override on the domain resolves it.

2. Domains to allow

All traffic is HTTPS on TCP 443. No inbound connections, plug-ins, or installed software are required.

3. Browser requirements

4. Security posture

5. iPhone setup for field units

  1. Open InterceptOS in Safari on the iPhone (Safari only — Chrome cannot install it).
  2. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. The InterceptOS icon launches full-screen with no browser bars.
  3. When prompted for location, choose Allow While Using App and leave Precise Location on. Confirm under Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
  4. Set Auto-Lock to a longer interval, or simply leave the app open — InterceptOS requests a screen wake lock while broadcasting.

Important limitation: Apple stops all web-app location updates when the phone is locked or the app is sent to the background. InterceptOS shows a GPS PAUSED status and logs the gap so the after-action report never shows a route the unit did not drive. Tracking resumes automatically the moment the app is back on screen. Continuous locked-screen tracking requires a native App Store build.

Questions about a block that persists after allowlisting? Note which filter category flagged the domain and pass it back to your InterceptOS administrator.
